Groups

Introduction
All links are assigned to groups. You can add several groups to any tab and arrange them in different columns. In the chapter Tabs we explained how to add a new group to a tab.

Organize groups
Every group consists of the title and the content. Depending on the group's state you can see the following symbols at the right side of the title:

	Group information
	Moving the mouse pointer over this symbol, the description of the group is shown as a tooltip. This symbol only is visible if you have entered a description.
	Open configuration
	Opens the configuration menu to set the group properties and organize the links in the group.
	Close group
	Hides the links of the group. In this way you can save space if the group is used rarely.
	Open group
	Shows the links of a closed group.

Once you have opened the configuration menu you will see the following symbols to organize the group:

	Move group one position to the left
	Moves the group to the left, beneath the other groups of the column. If there is no column at the left and the current group is not the only one in its column, a new column will be created.
	Move group one position to the right
	Moves the group to the right, beneath the other groups of the column. If there is no column at the right and the current group is not the only one in its column, a new column will be created.
	Move group one position up
	Moves the group one position up in the column.
	Move group one position down
	Moves the group one position down in the column.
	Edit group
	Here you can change the name and the description of the group. Besides you can move the group to another tab using the corresponding combobox.
	Delete group
	Serves to delete the group. If this symbol is gray, the group can't be deleted because it contains links and the option Objects with content can be deleted is not set (see Options).
	Send group
	Clicking this symbol you can send groups of links to your friends. After entering an email address a group suggestion is sent to the recipient. Here we distinguish two cases: The recipient already has created an account on PersStart. In this case the user receives a message in his massage center with the possibility to import the suggested group (see Options). If there is no user with the entered email address, an email is sent to the recipient's mail box informing him about the group suggestion. Clicking on a link in this mail he/she can view the group in his/her browser. If the recipient decides to create an account on PersStart, he/she will get a message with the possibility to import the group after signing up and logging in.
	Add new link
	After entering a name, an address and an optional description a new link will be added at the end of the list. In the next chapter we'll describe the links in detail.
	Close configuration
	Closes the configuration menu.
